Rose López Keravuori is an accomplished executive leader, retired U.S. Army Brigadier General, entrepreneur, strategic advisor, and board director whose career spans nearly three decades of distinguished service across military, government, business, and international affairs. Recognized for her ability to navigate some of the world’s most complex operational environments,  such as Iraq, Afghanistan, and the African continent, Rose has built a reputation as a transformational leader who combines strategic foresight, disciplined execution, and global perspective to help organizations achieve sustainable success. Her professional journey reflects an unwavering commitment to leadership, service, innovation, and the development of resilient organizations capable of thriving amid uncertainty and change.

Throughout her remarkable career, Rose has consistently demonstrated an ability to lead large-scale organizations, manage enterprise-level risk, and guide decision-making in high-pressure environments where the consequences of failure were measured not only in financial terms but also in human lives and national security interests. Her expertise has been forged through years of executive leadership across multiple continents, where she successfully directed complex operations involving thousands of personnel, coordinated multinational partnerships, and advised senior leaders, such as the Secretary of Defense and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, on matters of strategic importance. These experiences have equipped her with a unique ability to evaluate challenges from multiple perspectives and identify solutions that create long-term value.

Most recently, Rose served as Director of Intelligence for United States Africa Command (AFRICOM), one of the Department of Defense’s most geographically expansive combatant commands with growing relevance to U.S. security interests. In this role, she led a global intelligence organization of more than 600 professionals operating across Europe and Africa. As one of the senior advisors to the command leadership team, she was responsible for providing critical intelligence assessments, risk analysis, and strategic recommendations that influenced policy decisions, operational planning, and crisis response efforts across an entire continent. Her leadership contributed directly to protecting U.S. personnel and interests while strengthening partnerships with allied nations and regional stakeholders.

Rose’s ability to excel in dynamic and challenging environments became particularly evident during numerous international crises. Throughout her career, she led intelligence and operational teams during deployments in Kosovo, Afghanistan, Iraq, and throughout Africa. She provided senior-level guidance during periods of political instability, armed conflict, and humanitarian emergencies, helping decision-makers navigate uncertainty while safeguarding critical interests. Her contributions during major geopolitical events, including military evacuations, regional conflicts, and strategic negotiations, established her as a trusted advisor capable of delivering clarity and direction when it mattered most.

One of the defining aspects of Rose’s leadership has been her commitment to organizational transformation and talent development. During her military service, she commanded organizations ranging from several hundred to more than 1,200 personnel, consistently achieving exceptional results while fostering cultures of excellence, collaboration, and innovation. Under her leadership, organizations received national recognition for operational excellence and mission accomplishment. She developed and implemented strategic initiatives that improved performance, enhanced readiness, and positioned teams for long-term success. Her ability to align people, processes, and resources around a shared vision has remained a hallmark of her leadership philosophy.

Beyond her military accomplishments, Rose brings substantial private-sector experience that provides valuable insight into business growth, operational execution, and strategic development. As CEO and Co-Founder of ROSE Women, LLC, she successfully led a veteran- and woman-owned consulting firm that provided strategic advisory services to government agencies, small businesses, and commercial organizations. Through her entrepreneurial endeavors, she gained firsthand experience in business development, organizational growth, client acquisition, financial management, and operational scalability. Her work focused on helping organizations maximize return on investment, optimize performance, and develop strategies that generated measurable impact.

Her business expertise was further strengthened through her tenure at BAE Systems, where she held leadership positions of increasing responsibility, including Director of Business Development. In these roles, she managed programs with profit-and-loss responsibility, developed domestic and international growth strategies, and built business pipelines that expanded market opportunities. Her ability to bridge government, defense, and commercial sectors provided valuable insight into navigating complex stakeholder environments while driving sustainable business growth. This combination of military leadership and corporate experience allows her to bring a rare and highly valuable perspective to boardrooms and executive teams.

Rose’s global perspective is one of her most distinctive strengths. Having lived, worked, and led across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and North America, she possesses an exceptional understanding of international business, geopolitics, diplomacy, and cross-cultural leadership. Fluent in English, French, and Spanish, with working knowledge of German, she has built trusted relationships across governments, military organizations, multinational corporations, and nonprofit institutions. Her experience negotiating with foreign leaders, advising ambassadors, and collaborating with international partners enables her to navigate diverse environments with confidence and effectiveness.

A lifelong learner and advocate for professional development, Rose has continuously invested in expanding her expertise. She holds a Master of Studies in Diplomacy from the University of Oxford, a Master of Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College, an MBA from Cameron University, and a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point. In preparation for corporate board service, she completed the National Association of Corporate Directors’ Battlefield to the Boardroom program, earned the DCRO Institute Certificate in Risk Governance, completed Wharton’s Corporate Governance program, and pursued advanced education in artificial intelligence, venture capital, and private equity. These achievements reflect her commitment to remaining at the forefront of governance, leadership, and emerging business trends.

Today, Rose serves as Chair of the Advisory Board for Global Critical Resources Group and as an advisor to other organizations seeking strategic guidance and governance expertise. She also serves as Associate Director at Strategia Worldwide and as a Non-Resident Senior Fellow with the Atlantic Council’s Africa Center, where she contributes thought leadership on security, economic development, and international affairs. Through these roles, she continues to shape conversations around global risk, resilience, strategic growth, and organizational effectiveness while helping leaders address increasingly complex challenges.

As she continues her transition into expanded board leadership, Rose seeks opportunities to leverage her extensive executive experience, governance expertise, and international perspective to help organizations navigate growth, manage risk, strengthen resilience, and create sustainable value.
