    With a career spanning over 30 years as a senior executive and audit committee chair to the board in two US registered public companies and a Big 4 accounting firm, Ron Chu has consistently delivered superior outcomes and driven organizational transformation. His expertise in financial services, including finance & leasing, banking, insurance, and capital markets, coupled with his extensive experience in the automotive industry and professional services, positions him as a sought-after leader in the corporate world.

    As a retired senior executive of the largest global automotive company, Ron is now seeking opportunities to leverage his strategic guidance and advisory skills on corporate boards. His track record of optimizing business performance in all aspects, including operations, profitability, and governance, underscores his ability to drive sustainable growth and enhance compliance.

    Ron’s commitment to making a difference extends beyond the corporate sphere. He has been recently appointed as Audit Committee Chair to the Board of Directors of Toyota Motor Credit Corporation, the largest automotive finance company in the US and a SEC registrant. In this role he has the responsibility to oversee internal and external audits, as well as risk, compliance and cybersecurity. Ron is appointed board director of National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) North Texas Chapter serving on the Governance and Nomination Committee. In this role he will have the responsibility of developing a succession plan for board members as well as promoting executives to board positions. Previously he served as board director on the governance and nomination committee of Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS). His strategic leadership and fundraising efforts have contributed to  successful CEO succession and record revenue during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic.

    With notable roles such as Group Vice President, Head of Global Internal Controls, and Group Vice President & Head of Accounting and Finance, Ron has directed teams to enhance FCPA compliance, formulate global frameworks of Anti-Bribery and Corruption controls, and optimize revenue streams through innovative pricing strategies. His initiatives have not only streamlined operations and strengthened compliance but have also significantly improved profitability and financial performance.

    Ron’s academic credentials include a Master of Taxation, a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Accounting, and a Ph.D. in Computational Linguistics, reflecting his diverse skill set and expertise. As a certified NACD Directorship and active CPA licensed in California, Ron brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table, making him an invaluable asset for any corporate board seeking strategic guidance and transformational leadership.
