Messias also led Brazil’s largest multi-source project finance initiative for the Santo Antonio Hydroelectric Power Plant, structuring BRL 7 billion in debt financing and developing an investment fund to attract equity partners.
As VP for Latam Financing & Treasury at ContourGlobal, Messias led three large investment transactions in the wind power sector and four refinancing ones in the hydroelectric sector. He successfully managed treasury operations across Brazil, Peru, and Colombia, securing funding through innovative capital-raising strategies.
