Throughout his more than 23-year tenure at FNBO, Marc has played an instrumental role in reshaping the bank’s strategic direction and accelerating its innovation agenda. His leadership has been pivotal in launching and managing disruptive business models across blockchain, digital banking, and unsecured consumer lending. Marc’s entrepreneurial spirit and strategic foresight earned him the title of American Banker’s Innovator of the Year in 2023, a testament to his impact on the fintech and banking sectors.
In his current role, Marc is responsible for spearheading new product development initiatives and identifying high-growth market expansion opportunities. He holds full accountability for FNBO’s $500 million unsecured lending portfolio and oversees digital experience delivery for the bank. Under his direction, FNBO has elevated its digital payment capabilities, optimized its digital infrastructure, and increased operational efficiency through strategic technology investments.
Marc’s approach is data-driven and customer-centric. He successfully led the design of new segmentation and marketing strategies that increased the return on investment of direct marketing campaigns from 21% to an impressive 62%. His innovative pricing models and customer acquisition strategies expanded FNBO’s reach from a 2.5 million to a 10 million customer universe, setting a corporate record for new accounts opened in a single campaign.
Earlier in his career, Marc demonstrated resilience and analytical rigor by navigating the Credit Card Division through the economic downturn of the Great Recession. His development of a trigger-based credit line management strategy and economic-based segmentation redefined how FNBO approached credit risk.
In addition to his leadership at FNBO, Marc is also the long-time owner of Eleven19 Communications, Inc., where he served as CFO and led marketing and sales efforts for over two decades. He also contributed as a Marketing Officer at First Bankcard, further establishing his multifaceted expertise in financial services marketing and consumer engagement.
Marc holds a degree in Marketing and Management from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
