Kevin Bostick is a distinguished senior defense executive with over 42 years of exemplary service to the United States Army and Department of Defense, culminating in his role as a Senior Executive Service-2 (SES-2), the civilian equivalent of a two-star general. His tenure is marked by transformative leadership across some of the military’s most critical and complex operational commands, including four 4-star commands, and a legacy of advancing strategic readiness, global partnerships, and coalition affairs.
Most recently, Kevin served as the director of exercises and coalition affairs at the United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM), where he oversaw the planning and execution of multinational military engagements and exercises throughout Central and South America and the Caribbean. His efforts enhanced regional stability, strengthened partnerships with allied nations, and supported humanitarian initiatives—ranging from medical outreach to disaster assistance—in countries such as Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, and across the Caribbean.
Prior to this role, Kevin held a series of high-level executive positions at Army Materiel Command, including director of operations and readiness, director of current operations, and director of logistics integration, where he was responsible for aligning logistics and readiness strategies across the Army’s global supply chain. His strategic oversight of multi-million-dollar operations ensured combat readiness and operational effectiveness across multiple theaters of operation.
Kevin also held critical roles within U.S. Army Forces Command (FORSCOM), where he served as deputy G-4 for operations and logistics, chief of the equipment readiness division, chief of the logistics integration branch, and inspector general. His early career includes serving as a strategic plans officer with First U.S. Army, contributing to long-range defense planning and organizational transformation efforts.
He is a highly credentialed executive, having completed elite leadership and national security programs at some of the world’s most respected institutions. These include the Harvard Kennedy School, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, George Washington University, Johns Hopkins University, Naval Postgraduate School, and the U.S. Army War College. He holds a master’s in education from Drury University and a bachelor’s in education from California State University, Fresno—underscoring a lifelong passion for training, mentorship, and leadership development.
Kevin’s service has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Bronze Star, the Legion of Merit, and the Civilian Superior Service Award (received three times), reflecting his unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation, and integrity in defense operations.
Known for his ability to build lasting relationships across cultures, Kevin has worked closely with ambassadors, foreign defense officials, interagency partners, and military leaders to foster cooperation and shared mission success. He has been a frequent guest speaker at defense forums and leadership presentations, offering insights on logistics, training, international engagement, and leadership in complex environments.
Now retired from active federal service, Kevin is seeking opportunities to bring his leadership, experience, and global perspective to boards, advisory roles, or organizations aligned with defense, aerospace, government services, and education. He currently serves on the Board of Advisors for Florida International University’s Center for Leadership, and on the Board of Visitors for the Western Hemisphere Institute for National Security (WHINSEC)—formerly known as the School of the Americas. He was also a member of the Army Leader Logistics Board, contributing to curriculum development and course structuring for logistics professionals, as well as helping fund Master’s Degrees in logistics.
In addition, Kevin served on the board overseeing the Master’s in Logistics program that Syracuse University developed for the Department of Defense.
A proud family man, Kevin has one son and is the grandfather of two boys. He comes from a long line of military service members and spends his time supporting his 88-year-old mother, his children, and grandchildren.
