Kelley Nicholas is an accomplished commercial executive whose career spans more than twenty-five years of accelerating revenue, modernizing commercial organizations, and launching breakthrough medical technologies across the global healthcare ecosystem. With deep specialization in medical devices, biotechnology, imaging, diagnostics, and emerging AI-enabled platforms, she has built a reputation as a transformational leader who consistently elevates organizational performance and delivers measurable growth. Kelley’s leadership journey reflects a relentless commitment to turning strategy into execution, strengthening teams, and creating value for patients, providers, investors, and boards alike.

Her career began in frontline medical sales, where she quickly earned recognition for her ability to build trust with clinicians, drive adoption in highly technical environments, and outperform competitive markets. These early experiences shaped her understanding of customer needs and the clinical decision-making landscape, laying the foundation for the strategic, customer-centered approach that would define her executive leadership in later years. As she advanced through roles of increasing responsibility at Johnson & Johnson, Kendall/Tyco Healthcare, Covidien, and Intuitive Surgical, Kelley honed her ability to lead diverse teams, scale commercial programs, and cultivate collaborative, performance-driven cultures.

Kelley’s tenure at Baxter International marked a powerful inflection point in her executive trajectory. Over six years, she managed large, geographically dispersed teams, delivered national top-ranked performance, built high-performing regional organizations, and helped advance women’s leadership initiatives across the company. Her success led to expanded responsibilities, including the opportunity to serve as interim Vice President of Sales and Marketing—a role in which she further solidified her reputation for operational excellence, organizational clarity, and strategic execution.

Her move to Medtronic, one of the world’s largest and most innovative medical device companies, showcased her ability to lead in highly complex, heavily matrixed environments. Across multiple vice president roles spanning cardiac and vascular therapies, diabetes, restorative therapies, and strategic accounts, Kelley guided businesses with revenues ranging from $230M to $500M and led teams of up to 200 professionals. She revitalized underperforming divisions, consistently exceeded revenue targets, rebuilt field leadership teams, and played an essential role in the successful launch of some of the most influential technologies in modern healthcare, including the world’s first hybrid closed-loop insulin pump.

Kelley later joined Thermo Fisher Scientific as Global Vice President of Commercial, where she oversaw more than 300 employees across three business units and led a $750M global portfolio. Her work included the development of new global go-to-market models, commercialization strategies for emerging product lines, redesign of sales incentive programs, and advancement of organizational capabilities through talent development. Her leadership was instrumental in aligning teams across international markets and ensuring disciplined, scalable growth.

Her next chapter at Hologic further showcased her strategic acumen and ability to accelerate innovation. As Global Vice President of Marketing for the Breast and Skeletal Health division, Kelley led a 140-member global team, strengthened commercialization processes, revitalized market strategies across Europe, accelerated product development timelines by multiple years, and launched industry-defining technologies. Her ability to integrate upstream innovation with downstream execution enabled the business to achieve record performance and secure long-term competitive advantage.

At NeuroPace, Kelley transformed a company navigating market complexity into a high-growth organization with sustained commercial momentum. As Vice President of Sales, she rebuilt the commercial engine, improved forecasting and performance metrics, upgraded leadership talent, and partnered with R&D and Marketing to define the commercialization pathway for next-generation AI-enabled neuromodulation technologies. Under her guidance, NeuroPace experienced its greatest revenue acceleration in company history, growing from $45M to more than $85M and increasing its stock valuation by 300%.

Previously, Kelley serves as Chief Commercial Officer at Femasys, where she leads commercialization strategies for a portfolio of transformative women’s health technologies. In this role, she partners closely with the CEO and Board to align commercial execution with financing milestones, investor expectations, and market growth priorities. Her responsibilities include building and scaling integrated commercial teams, shaping U.S. and global go-to-market strategies, ensuring reimbursement readiness, and establishing strategic partnerships across health systems, payers, and distribution networks.

Currently Kelley is a seasoned commercial strategy leader and the cofounder and CEO of Excellera Consulting Group, where she partners with medical device and health technology companies, as well as investors, to accelerate market access and sustainable growth. With more than 25 years of experience, Kelley has built and led high performing commercial teams, designed effective go to market and distribution strategies, and helped organizations scale from early stage to global impact. Known for revitalizing underperforming businesses and translating strategy into execution, she is a trusted advisor recognized for her expertise in sales leadership, strategic partnerships, reimbursement strategy, and talent development.

In addition to her executive leadership roles, Kelley serves as a Board Advisor for My Village Innovations, where she supports commercialization pathways, market segmentation strategies, and field deployment models. Her board advisory work reflects her broader commitment to helping mission-driven companies bring meaningful technologies to market and scale responsibly.
