“Turning Global Complexity into Profitable Growth, Stronger Partnerships, and Scalable Success”

Juan Carlos Bretschneider is a global corporate real estate and outsourcing executive whose career has been defined by an ability to transform complex portfolios, challenging commercial environments, and sophisticated client requirements into profitable, scalable business opportunities. With more than two decades of leadership experience spanning corporate real estate, integrated facilities management, outsourcing, business development, enterprise account management, and commercial strategy, Juan Carlos has built a reputation for connecting strategic vision with disciplined execution. His experience across the United States, Mexico, Latin America, Europe, and Asia Pacific gives him a distinctly global perspective on how organizations can turn their real estate and facilities operations into sources of efficiency, competitive advantage, and enterprise value.

Juan Carlos spent more than 20 years with JLL, progressing through increasingly influential leadership positions and ultimately serving as Principal and Managing Director of Solutions Development. His advancement reflected both consistent commercial performance and an ability to take responsibility for increasingly complex organizations, clients, and markets. Throughout his tenure, he worked closely with Fortune 500 companies and other major enterprises, bringing together C-suite stakeholders, sales professionals, pricing specialists, operating teams, and regional leaders to develop outsourcing solutions capable of performing across multiple countries and business environments.

As Managing Director and Solutions Development Principal, Juan Carlos led enterprise solution design for U.S. and global clients, combining relationship leadership with sophisticated contract structuring and hands-on pursuit execution. He generated more than $3 million in annualized contribution income during his first year while simultaneously transitioning a multinational Latin American pipeline. His work included renewing and expanding strategic relationships with global professional-services and technology enterprises in coordination with delivery partners across Asia Pacific, and negotiating a first-of-its-kind global framework agreement with a multinational consumer-goods leader — a structure designed to scale across regions and service lines as the relationship matures.

Before relocating into his U.S.-focused leadership role, Juan Carlos served as Executive Vice President and Principal Regional Director of Solutions Development for JLL in Latin America. In that capacity, he helped build the commercial engine required for the region to compete successfully for sophisticated multinational engagements. Among his most significant accomplishments was helping transform a regional P&L from a negative $15 million position to nearly $30 million in annualized contribution income, supporting 10 consecutive years of revenue and profit growth. In 2021 alone, his organization secured more than $120 million in new multiyear contracts, including what was then the largest facilities management agreement signed in Latin America.

His approach to growth has never been limited to winning new business. Juan Carlos understands that durable enterprise value depends on disciplined economics, effective governance, and operational credibility. He restructured approximately 35 client agreements to restore profitability and was prepared to exit value-destructive relationships when they could no longer meet appropriate commercial standards. Across his career, he has architected solutions representing more than $800 million in GAAP contract revenue while contributing to more than $50 million in client savings—a combination that illustrates his ability to create value for both service providers and their customers.

Juan Carlos is equally accomplished as a builder of organizations and talent. He grew a regional sales organization from a single position into a 16-person multidisciplinary team encompassing solutions development, solutions management, pricing, and proposal management, funding expansion through business the organization successfully won. During pandemic-era budget reductions, he chose to cap his own bonus rather than eliminate positions from his sales organization. The team subsequently delivered record sales for three consecutive years, demonstrating a leadership philosophy grounded in accountability, trust, resilience, and a belief that protecting capable people can produce extraordinary long-term results.

Earlier in his JLL career, Juan Carlos served as Senior Vice President and National Director for Mexico Integrated Facilities Management and Solutions Development, carrying full P&L responsibility while directing more than 300 professionals across more than 30 client accounts. He helped secure landmark outsourcing relationships with organizations including HSBC and Citi/Banamex while standardizing pricing and service delivery across a national portfolio. His leadership combined operational rigor with aggressive but disciplined commercial expansion, giving him firsthand expertise in both designing enterprise solutions and ensuring those solutions can be executed successfully after contracts are signed.

His foundation in enterprise account leadership and business development was established while managing complex workplace, corporate office, retail, and data center portfolios. Juan Carlos strengthened national relationships with major organizations including P&G and HSBC and helped deliver measurable operating savings across approximately six million square feet of real estate. His contribution to account performance, partnership, and operational excellence earned P&G’s Americas LEAD Award. Across his broader JLL career, his consistent commercial performance was also recognized through 10 Top Gun Awards for meeting or exceeding annual sales quotas.

Juan Carlos brings meaningful governance experience to his executive perspective. He served on JLL Latin America’s Executive Leadership Board and previously contributed operational leadership and governance perspective as a member of the Board of Directors at Bauhaus. These experiences strengthened his understanding of the distinction between operating a business and governing one, while reinforcing his ability to evaluate strategy through the lenses of growth, risk, profitability, execution, organizational capability, and stakeholder value. His background is particularly relevant to organizations in real estate, commercial real estate, real estate services, property and facilities management, landscaping and facilities services, financial and accounting services, and businesses that are significant consumers of real estate.

An architect by education with additional coursework in civil engineering and construction management at Universidad Iberoamericana, Juan Carlos possesses an unusually integrated understanding of the physical, operational, financial, and commercial dimensions of real estate. He further developed his executive capabilities through the Senior Executive Leadership Program at Yale School of Management. Bilingual in English and Spanish with conversational Portuguese capabilities, he is comfortable operating across cultures and translating strategic objectives into practical actions for geographically dispersed teams. He also continues to expand his capabilities in artificial intelligence, using AI-supported tools for research, analysis, decision support, and more effective executive workflows.

At the center of Juan Carlos’s leadership philosophy is a conviction that high performance should strengthen people as well as financial results. He believes clarity, accountability, trust, and disciplined decision-making create the conditions in which talented teams can perform at their best. He is commercially demanding without losing sight of relationships, and strategically ambitious while remaining attentive to whether an operating model can actually deliver what has been promised. This balance has enabled him to navigate difficult negotiations, lead transformations, develop high-performing teams, and maintain credibility with senior executives across complex multinational environments.

Today, Juan Carlos offers boards, executive teams, and advisory organizations a combination of global commercial real estate expertise, P&L transformation experience, enterprise sales leadership, contract negotiation capabilities, and cross-border operating knowledge. He is particularly well positioned to advise organizations confronting growth, margin improvement, outsourcing, real estate portfolio optimization, facilities strategy, enterprise account development, or commercial transformation. With travel flexibility and extensive international experience, he brings a global mindset to opportunities where complexity is high, the financial stakes are meaningful, and leadership must connect strategy with measurable results.
