“Do It Like You Meant To.”
Jason Farrer is a seasoned manufacturing and operations executive whose career has been defined by an unwavering commitment to excellence, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a proven ability to lead organizations through transformation and growth. Over the course of more than three decades, Jason has built a reputation as a results-driven leader in consumer products, personal care, food and beverage, and industrial manufacturing. Guided by his personal motto, “Do it like you meant to,” Jason approaches every challenge with intention, energy, and a focus on creating measurable impact for companies, teams, and customers alike.
From the very beginning of his career, Jason distinguished himself as someone willing to roll up his sleeves and learn the business from the ground up. Starting as a production operator at Huish Detergents in 1989, he mastered the complexities of large-scale production while developing a keen understanding of process efficiency, quality control, and workforce leadership. His early years provided a strong foundation, instilling in him both technical expertise and the discipline needed to manage operations at scale. As he advanced into supervisory and management positions, Jason quickly earned recognition for his ability to guide teams through demanding production schedules without sacrificing safety or quality.
Jason’s trajectory within Huish Detergents, later known as Sun Products Corporation, is a testament to his dedication and adaptability. Over the course of nearly twenty-four years, he rose from frontline operations to senior leadership roles, culminating in positions such as Brand Operations Manager and Contract Manufacturing Manager. During this time, he led cross-functional projects, built new production departments from the ground up, and was instrumental in the successful implementation of SAP and ERP systems. His work in SAP design and integration not only modernized manufacturing execution but also bridged critical gaps between production, demand planning, and supply chain efficiency. These achievements underscored his unique blend of technical expertise and strategic vision, making him a sought-after leader within the organization.
After establishing himself as a trusted operations leader, Jason extended his influence across multiple industries. As an Operations Manager at Marietta Corporation, he oversaw the production of hospitality personal care items, managing seventeen production lines and more than 400 SKUs. His leadership was critical in balancing the competing demands of safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Later, at Roxul Corporation, he played a key role in launching a new facility, implementing 5S practices, and building a team from the ground up to support long-term success. Each role demonstrated his ability to not only manage existing systems but to create and implement new processes that improved efficiency, reduced costs, and enhanced organizational resilience.
Jason’s leadership impact deepened during his tenure as Plant Manager at Vanguard Soap and later at EMP, a Norwex company. At Vanguard, he guided production of high-end retail soaps, overseeing safety, quality, and budgets while leading a diverse leadership team. At Norwex, he managed the successful startup of a new facility, implementing processes across production, finance, quality, and purchasing. Within just eighteen months, Jason successfully launched forty new products from formulation to commercialization—a remarkable achievement that showcased his ability to translate vision into execution. This period of his career demonstrated his unique capacity to lead in high-growth, high-pressure environments while consistently delivering results.
Expanding his professional reach, Jason joined Redzone Production Systems as a Continuous Improvement Coach, where he helped clients across the United States implement performance-enhancing software and foster a culture of accountability through data-driven management. In this role, he became a trusted advisor to senior leaders, traveling extensively to train operators and executives alike in reading key performance indicators, leading Kaizen events, and sustaining long-term improvements. His influence extended beyond a single company, leaving a lasting impact on organizations nationwide.
Jason’s leadership journey continued at Amazon, where he served as Operations Manager III at a robotics-enabled fulfillment center. Managing five direct reports and more than 400 indirect employees, he was responsible for ensuring operational excellence across safety, quality, and performance metrics in one of the world’s most complex logistics environments. His success at Amazon further demonstrated his ability to lead at scale, blending strategic oversight with hands-on operational management in a fast-paced, technology-driven ecosystem.
Today, Jason serves as a Territory Manager for Alston Equipment, overseeing equipment sales and managing client relationships across Central Texas. His role leverages his deep operational knowledge and technical expertise to deliver value-driven solutions to manufacturing clients. At the same time, Jason maintains entrepreneurial endeavors as the owner and operator of Farrer & Away Horse Boarding and RV Ranch, reflecting his passion for building sustainable businesses and supporting his local community.
Outside of his professional career, Jason’s personal interests in his wife, 3 grown children, 5 grandchildren, beekeeping, soap making, and health and fitness highlight his curiosity, discipline, and appreciation for processes both natural and industrial. His personal values—rooted in integrity, perseverance, and lifelong learning—are evident in every endeavor, whether leading a plant startup, mentoring emerging leaders, or cultivating his own ventures.
Jason’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Applied Management from Grand Canyon University, where he graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA and was recognized on the President’s List. His studies in management, combined with extensive professional training in supervision, legal compliance, change management, finance, HR, and project management, have equipped him with the tools necessary to succeed in diverse leadership environments. He remains committed to personal growth and professional excellence, qualities that position him as an outstanding candidate for board and advisory roles.
