Earlier, at Omnico Group, he directed teams delivering cloud-based point-of-sale payment technologies for major hospitality and entertainment organizations, helping produce 14 custom releases in less than two years. As CEO of App Data Systems, James combined business leadership with hands-on technology expertise, managing the software product development lifecycle for cloud and mobile solutions serving enterprise and consumer-facing clients. His work touched organizations including Marriott Vacations Worldwide, SeaWorld, EA Sports, PwC, Stryker Instruments, and Florida Hospital. During this period, he conceived, designed, developed, and deployed 32 Android mobile applications, giving him direct experience transforming market and customer requirements into functioning digital products. Within Florida Hospital–Adventist Health Systems, he managed health information exchange initiatives, technical and Cerner analyst teams, mobile health technology, and interoperability work involving clinical systems and regulatory requirements. At CHEP, he delivered global SAP-based applications serving more than 50,000 customers per day and received three Circle of Excellence awards, including special recognition from the company’s CEO.
His experience also includes leadership at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Electronic Data Systems. At PwC, James was responsible for the turnaround and delivery of a web-based budgeting platform integrating Hyperion and SAP technologies while overseeing an 18-person team and coordinating with international resources. At Electronic Data Systems, his work included leading a 15-person development team responsible for the National Spinal Cord Injury Registry and electronic medical record assessments serving 126 VA hospitals. The program included a $4.6 million budget and resulted in deployment of what his professional record identifies as the first J2EE medical application in VA history. He also managed technology initiatives for General Motors involving CRM, data-center consolidation, and engineering-system upgrades.
