As the Director of the School of Accountancy and Master of Accountancy at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, he restructured and optimized the Master of Accountancy program, enabling students to meet CPA eligibility requirements in an accelerated five-year timeline. He successfully recruited new faculty, raised funds for scholarships and faculty development, and enhanced curriculum quality through comprehensive assessments. Dr. Espahbodi also established advisory councils and organized career fairs that provided invaluable internship and job opportunities for students.
Prior to this, as the Chair of the Department of Accounting and Management Information Systems at the University of Texas at Brownsville, Dr. Espahbodi played a pivotal role in launching a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems, ensuring the department’s alignment with industry needs and student aspirations.
