Greg Cooper is a seasoned healthcare executive, entrepreneur, advisor, and technology leader whose career has been defined by an ability to connect financial discipline, operational execution, and innovation to improve the delivery of care. With more than four decades of professional experience, including more than 35 years dedicated to healthcare, Greg has developed a comprehensive understanding of how hospitals, health systems, rehabilitation organizations, physician enterprises, and healthcare technology companies operate. His leadership philosophy centers on solving one of healthcare’s most persistent challenges: expanding access to high-quality care while simultaneously reducing cost, improving outcomes, and eliminating unnecessary operational friction.
Throughout his career, Greg has worked at the intersection of healthcare, technology, software, finance, and operations. Rather than viewing these disciplines independently, he has built his leadership approach around their interdependence. He understands that sustainable healthcare transformation requires more than a strong clinical model or promising technology; it requires an economic structure, operating model, implementation strategy, and leadership team capable of turning an idea into measurable performance. This perspective has enabled Greg to contribute across strategic planning, healthcare management, revenue cycle management, process improvement, practice management, information technology, mergers and acquisitions, and business development.
Today, Greg serves as Managing Partner of Medadept, LLC, a healthcare technology and services company focused on the post acute, outpatient rehabilitation, and durable medical equipment ecosystem. Medadept operates from the philosophy that chronic disease is continuous, risk is dynamic, and some of the greatest opportunities to improve outcomes occur between clinical encounters. Through solutions including WatchWell® and Synchrony Coordinator®, Greg and the Medadept team are building the infrastructure for proactive chronic care, helping healthcare organizations identify deterioration earlier, support patients between visits, and intervene before avoidable utilization occurs. These patient engagement and virtual care management technologies support Remote Therapeutic Monitoring, automated outreach, condition education, transitions of care, predictive analytics, and EHR integration. Medadept also provides specialized revenue cycle management, an EMR designed for outpatient rehabilitation providers, and software solutions serving DME organizations, creating an integrated approach that supports both patient care and the business infrastructure behind it.
Greg also serves as Managing Partner of HCS Group, LLC, where he works with hospitals, health systems, physician enterprises, and accountable care organizations on strategy, growth, and operational performance. His work is particularly informed by deep experience in rehabilitation, musculoskeletal care, post-acute services, and digital health enablement. Through this advisory role, Greg brings together the financial, clinical, technological, and operational considerations that healthcare organizations must navigate when evaluating growth opportunities or redesigning existing service lines.
In addition, Greg serves as President of Confluent Health System Solutions in partnership with IncreMedical Therapy Solutions, a Confluent Health company. The organization partners with more than 30 hospitals, academic health systems, and ACO partners across more than 130 sites of care. Greg’s leadership encompasses clinical program design, facility-based operations, staffing, financial analysis, information technology, and business development, with solutions delivered through management services agreements and joint ventures. This work reflects his conviction that rehabilitation can become a strategically important and financially productive component of a healthcare organization rather than simply being viewed as an ancillary service or cost center.
Across these leadership platforms, Greg has developed a distinctive ability to bridge strategy with implementation. His experience includes healthcare information technology, EMR and EHR environments, software implementation, revenue cycle operations, Medicare and Medicaid considerations, managed care, HIPAA, physician relationships, physical therapy, orthopedics, sports medicine, home care, and broader rehabilitation services. His financial background further strengthens his ability to evaluate opportunities through the lens of sustainability, profitability, risk, and long-term enterprise value. He is equally comfortable discussing a strategic growth initiative at the executive level and examining the operational mechanics necessary to make that strategy work.
Greg’s perspective is especially relevant as healthcare continues its transition toward digitally enabled, value-oriented models of care. He understands that technologies such as remote monitoring, predictive analytics, automated patient engagement, and integrated clinical systems create meaningful value only when they improve the patient journey while supporting a viable economic model. His work reflects a pragmatic approach to innovation: technology should simplify healthcare, strengthen decision-making, improve access, create operational efficiencies, and ultimately support better outcomes.
Beyond his operating responsibilities, Greg has contributed to the broader healthcare conversation through public speaking at conferences and as a panelist on topics spanning healthcare, management, and finance. These engagements allow him to translate decades of practical experience into perspectives that are useful to executives, operators, clinicians, entrepreneurs, and investors. His involvement with the Healthcare Financial Management community further reflects the combination of financial acumen and healthcare expertise that has been central to his professional development.
After 42 years of professional experience, Greg views board and advisory service as a natural extension of the work he has spent his career doing. He is open to organizations of varying sizes and particularly interested in opportunities involving healthcare, technology, and software, while remaining receptive to other industries where his experience can create value. He brings the perspective of an executive who has worked through complex operating environments and understands that strong governance requires asking thoughtful questions, challenging assumptions constructively, evaluating risk, and keeping strategic objectives connected to financial and operational realities.
Greg’s potential contribution in the boardroom extends beyond healthcare-specific expertise. His combination of finance, operations, technology, software, strategic planning, and executive management gives him a multidimensional perspective on enterprise performance. He can help leadership teams assess growth strategies, technology investments, operational models, partnerships, service-line opportunities, and organizational priorities while maintaining a disciplined focus on execution. His experience gives him the ability to recognize both the promise of an opportunity and the practical obstacles that may prevent an organization from realizing its full value.
At the center of Greg’s leadership is a commitment to creating practical, sustainable improvement. Whether working with a health system, developing technology-enabled services, evaluating financial performance, or helping an organization rethink the role of rehabilitation and post-acute care, he focuses on solutions that can endure beyond the planning stage. His career demonstrates that innovation and financial discipline do not need to compete with one another; when aligned effectively, they can strengthen organizations while creating better experiences for patients and providers alike.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Greg enjoys golf and fishing, pursuits that provide balance to a career spent navigating complex organizations and demanding healthcare environments. As he expands his involvement in board and advisory leadership, he brings the accumulated perspective of four decades of experience together with a continued curiosity about how organizations can improve. For companies seeking a board member capable of connecting healthcare expertise, technological innovation, financial understanding, and operational execution, Greg offers a seasoned and highly practical leadership perspective.
