Currently serving as President of Diamond Standard Asset Management (DSAM), Doug has been instrumental in building and scaling one of the most groundbreaking ventures in the blockchain and tokenized commodities space. Since joining Diamond Standard in December 2018 as a consultant, Doug was later promoted to interim Chief Operating Officer (COO) in 2021 and subsequently became the full-time COO. Under his leadership, the firm has launched a suite of digital financial products, including tokenized commodity currencies and DAO-based governance tokens, while also spearheading global exchange partnerships in markets such as Singapore and the UAE. Doug also led investor capital efforts, raising over $6M from UHNW individuals and family offices as part of a broader $40M company raise. Doug was instrumental in landing a Harvard Business School case study on Diamond Standard and assisted in a live presentation and Q&A.

Beyond his operational leadership, Doug has also built and directed the firm’s HR function from the ground up, developing compensation, benefits, and internship pipelines that attracted thousands of high-caliber candidates from leading universities. He personally recruited C-suite executives including the CRO, CMO, and CCO, and negotiated cost-saving benefit programs that reduced healthcare costs by 28%.

Doug is currently an active board member of the Tokenized Commodities Council (TCC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing education and best practices in tokenized asset markets. He has presented at workshops for institutions such as Harvard University and the University of Connecticut, speaking on topics including blockchain finance, regulatory innovation, and operational transformation.

Internationally, Doug brings direct experience working across the UK, Russia, and Singapore, and has supported global strategic expansion efforts into Europe and Asia. He is conversational in Spanish, German, and Russian.

Respected for his high-integrity leadership style, Doug is family-oriented, passionate about golf and the outdoors, and deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of financial leaders.
