Dino Mariutti is an entrepreneur, executive, investor, board member and strategic advisor with approximately two decades of experience spanning corporate strategy, business development, manufacturing, technology commercialization, mobility, investment and international operations. His career combines entrepreneurial initiative with practical operating experience and a consistent interest in solving complex problems, improving systems and connecting people around meaningful business opportunities.
Having worked across North America, Europe and Asia, Dino brings an international perspective to how organizations grow, adapt and create sustainable value. His experience encompasses founding businesses, developing products, managing operations, entering markets, building strategic partnerships and contributing to executive and board-level decisions. This breadth allows him to assess opportunities through several perspectives while remaining grounded in the realities of execution.
Today, Dino serves as Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Apexmont, where he works with founders, leadership teams, boards and investors on business strategy, commercial development, capital readiness, corporate development and organizational growth. He helps companies navigate pivotal decisions, assess trade-offs and align strategic objectives with their financial and operational capabilities. His participation in financing initiatives and sell-side transaction processes complements his operating background, bringing both commercial and financial perspectives to his advisory work.
An industrial and entrepreneurial mindset has been a consistent thread throughout Dino’s career. As Founder and Executive Chairman/CEO of DD Technologies Inc., he invented and led the commercialization of the IRIS Heads-Up Display™, an automotive technology designed to improve driver safety by reducing distraction. The innovation attracted attention from The New York Times and provided firsthand experience in transforming intellectual property and a product concept into a technology venture. His work encompassed the interconnected challenges of product development, commercial positioning, partnerships and market adoption.
His experience subsequently expanded across manufacturing, industrial equipment, international sales, supply chains and export development. At C.G.S. Srl. in Italy, Dino served as Export Operations Director, developing commercial relationships and working across international markets. He later served as Associate Director of TM-Engineering Ltd., contributing to the international development of a business operating in analytical laboratory and alluvial mining equipment. These roles strengthened his understanding of manufacturing economics, customer requirements, logistics and the operational disciplines needed to compete internationally.
Dino also brings more than six years of leadership experience in the electric mobility sector, with roles encompassing Head of Europe, Chief Operating Officer and board service. His work brought together international market development, manufacturing and operational planning, strategic partnerships, investment considerations, logistics and product commercialization. These responsibilities deepened his understanding of the demands facing emerging technology businesses and the importance of aligning innovation with capital resources, capable teams, effective governance and disciplined execution.
Board service is a natural extension of Dino’s executive and entrepreneurial experience. He has served in board and advisory capacities across technology and emerging-growth organizations, including current board service with Naqi Logix Inc. His governance experience encompasses strategic oversight, organizational controls, risk assessment, investment considerations and the relationship between boards and executive leadership.
Having worked as a founder, operator, investor, executive, advisor and director, Dino understands the different pressures and responsibilities each role carries. He views effective governance as a combination of thoughtful oversight and constructive engagement: asking clear questions, testing assumptions, recognizing risks early and helping leadership maintain accountability and focus on long-term objectives.
His interests in innovation also extend to the ethical implications of emerging technologies. Dino co-authored “Measuring AI Ethics” and “The Five Key Components of AI Ethics” in collaboration with Capgemini. These publications add a dimension of responsible technology development to his business and governance background, connecting questions of innovation and adoption with ethical assessment and organizational responsibility.
Dino’s academic development reinforces the breadth of his professional experience. He earned an MBA with Distinction from UCL School of Management, where he received the UCL MBA Capstone Award for his thesis, “The Conflicted Two-Wheeled Mobility Category,” examining advancements, challenges and future trends in the mobility sector. He also completed executive education in finance through the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School, including the Oxford Algorithmic Trading Programme. His earlier studies at the British Columbia Institute of Technology encompassed computer information systems and mechanical manufacturing engineering.
This interdisciplinary foundation enables Dino to engage with technical and operational questions while also considering commercial strategy, financing, governance and organizational growth. His experience extends to artificial intelligence, algorithmic finance, international logistics, complex sales, contract negotiation, customer strategy and new business development. He approaches these disciplines as connected elements of how a business creates and sustains value.
International relationships have been central to his career. Dino has conducted business and developed professional connections across Canada, the United States, Italy, the United Kingdom, China and other markets. His public-speaking experience includes technology and mobility engagements associated with CES in North America and China, addressing subjects connected to motorcycle technology and heads-up display innovation. Fluent in English and Italian, he recognizes that international expansion requires cultural understanding, adaptable leadership and strong local relationships alongside a credible commercial strategy.
Dino is particularly interested in startups, emerging-growth companies, manufacturing businesses, technology ventures, fintech and mobility organizations. He also maintains a broad industry perspective, recognizing that many strategic challenges recur across sectors. He looks for opportunities where his combination of operating knowledge, commercial experience, governance and international relationships can help teams make better decisions and execute with greater clarity.
His entrepreneurial philosophy centers on addressing inefficiencies and finding practical ways to improve products, organizations and everyday experiences. He is motivated by connecting founders, investors, executives, engineers and commercial partners whose complementary capabilities can turn ambitious ideas into viable businesses. Relationships, in his view, are an essential part of building an organization’s capacity to perform.
That emphasis on collaboration extends beyond his professional life. A former semi-professional football player, Dino values preparation, resilience, competition and the collective effort required to achieve demanding goals. These influences are reflected in a leadership style that combines ambition with teamwork and strategic thinking with hands-on engagement.
Across his executive, board and advisory work, Dino aims to provide practical guidance, thoughtful governance and a global perspective. He understands the pressures faced by founders, the expectations of investors and the responsibilities of directors. His focus is on helping capable teams navigate complexity, build productive relationships and translate innovation into lasting business value.
