Most notably, he served as the CBP Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Pretoria, South Africa, where he led security operations across 16 countries in Southern Africa and Indian Ocean territories. In this capacity, he worked closely with U.S. Ambassadors, interagency partners, and host governments, advising on border enforcement policies, risk mitigation, and customs security to enhance global trade and public safety.

Prior to his international assignment, Bryant served as Acting Executive Director for CBP’s Office of International Affairs, providing strategic oversight for CBP Attachés, Combatant Command Liaisons, and Representatives stationed globally. As Deputy Director of the CBP Advanced Training Center, he managed a 227-acre national training facility, overseeing curriculum development, operational training, and leadership programs for CBP personnel. Under his leadership, the center enhanced training methodologies for border security, emergency preparedness, and intelligence operations, ensuring that law enforcement officers were equipped with the necessary skills to address evolving security threats.

Bryant’s military background in the U.S. Marine Corps, spanning 27 years of active and reserve service, further solidifies his strategic and operational expertise. His experience in command leadership, crisis management, and global security operations has shaped his ability to develop high-impact security strategies, assess vulnerabilities, and implement preventative measures to safeguard national and international interests.
