Brian Feidt is an accomplished corporate finance leader with nearly three decades of experience guiding organizations through transformation, growth, and financial discipline. With a career spanning multiple industries including manufacturing, media, financial services, and textiles, Brian has a proven ability to align strategic vision with financial execution—delivering measurable results in profitability, operational efficiency, and organizational culture. He currently serves as Managing Director of The CT CFO, providing part-time CFO services to small and mid-sized businesses, and has held executive roles including Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and General Manager throughout his career.
A specialist in strategic financial planning, operational turnarounds, and quality management, Brian has consistently served as a catalyst for growth and improvement. He is known for his ability to bring structure and vision to organizations facing growth barriers or financial uncertainty. His career includes critical roles in multiple private companies where he implemented systems, led cultural shifts, introduced KPI-based performance tracking, and guided companies through acquisitions, transformations, and successful exits.
Most recently, Brian served as the Chief Financial Officer at Rosemary Hallgarten, Inc., a luxury textile brand that experienced substantial growth under his financial leadership. At Rosemary, he facilitated the company’s cultural and strategic alignment using Gino Wickman’s “Traction” framework, implemented lean manufacturing initiatives, and directed technology investments that enhanced remote operations and customer engagement during the pandemic. His financial stewardship culminated in the successful sale of the company to a private equity-backed firm, with due diligence completed 60 days ahead of schedule.
Prior to that, Brian held the dual roles of CFO and COO at Moffly Media, one of Fairfield County’s leading media companies. There, he led the organization through a turnaround that resulted in the most profitable year in its history. He oversaw finance, IT, HR, production, and marketing, directly driving initiatives to improve circulation, streamline operations, and implement strategic budgeting practices that sustained long-term profitability.
Brian’s extensive experience also includes his tenure at Babcock & King, Inc. and its subsidiaries, Five Star Products and Five Star Marine. Over his 15-year span at the company, he rose from Senior Accountant to CFO and General Manager. He led the company through significant restructuring, growth, and quality system overhauls, including implementing ISO 9001 and the NRC’s 10CFR50 Appendix B certification—enabling sales into the nuclear safety market.
His operational acumen was further demonstrated when he assumed leadership of Five Star Marine after its acquisition. Under his guidance, the struggling business was transformed into a high-performing, quality-focused operation that outpaced its debt projections and became a market leader. This ability to stabilize and scale businesses is a recurring theme in Brian’s career, whether through human capital development, technology integration, or hands-on leadership.
Brian holds an MBA in Finance from Sacred Heart University and a BS in Accounting from Rider University. He was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma and has been recognized with multiple regional honors, including Fairfield County CFO of the Year and the “40 Under 40” award. A passionate supporter of local causes, Brian has served on the Executive Board of Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo and was a long-time Unified Partner with Special Olympics Connecticut.
As a board presenter and speaker at conferences, Brian has shared insights on topics ranging from quality systems in regulated environments to strategic planning for family-owned businesses. His international exposure includes work in South America (Peru and Brazil) and Europe, lending a global perspective to his financial and operational strategies. He is known for his belief that “culture trumps everything”—a mantra he brings into every team and organization he helps lead.
Beyond his technical expertise, Brian is a trusted advisor to business owners and executive teams. Whether partnering on budgeting, M&A strategy, or operational efficiency, his clients and colleagues rely on his integrity, vision, and ability to translate financial metrics into strategic decisions that drive lasting value.
