Brandon A. Logan is a distinguished executive and social entrepreneur whose dynamic leadership has shaped outcomes across higher education, civic engagement, and community development for over 15 years. As Vice President for University Advancement and Innovation at Grambling State University, Brandon serves as a catalyst for transformation, overseeing strategic fundraising, alumni relations, and the development of multi-million-dollar capital projects. His tenure has delivered unprecedented success—including leading the university’s 4th Annual Day of Giving to a record-breaking $711,000 raised in just 24 hours, a 142% increase over the campaign goal.

A natural builder of sustainable growth models, Brandon also serves as Executive Director of both the Grambling University Foundation and Black & Gold Facilities, Inc., managing capital infrastructure projects and the university’s endowment portfolio. Under his leadership, Grambling’s advancement division raised $6.4 million in FY’24, marking a 94% increase since FY’22. His strategy yielded a 44% year-over-year rise in philanthropic revenue, a 15% increase in endowment value, and an impressive 114% surge in new scholarship creation. Brandon also propelled investor engagement, achieving a 222% growth in investors and boosting alumni giving by 41%.

Before returning to his alma mater, Brandon founded and led Urban Capital Partners in San Antonio for a decade. There, he architected people- and place-based initiatives that uplifted inner-city communities, impacting nearly 1,000 youth through programs targeting education, health, family support, and leadership. His holistic approach to community revitalization included real estate transactions and community reinvestment strategies that reshaped the built environment.

His commitment to examining social systems at their intersections also led to the creation of The Doug Williams Center at Grambling, where as Founding Executive Director, he fostered national dialogue on race, sports, and public policy.

Brandon’s extensive board and advisory service underscores his collaborative approach and passion for civic innovation. Notably, he chaired the San Antonio MLK, Jr. Commission, where he led the nation’s largest MLK march with over 300,000 participants. As the youngest president of the Rotary Club of San Antonio, he guided the organization through the pandemic, raising $295,000 and logging 8,476 service hours. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Valero Alamo Bowl (2015–2024), Tex-Star National Bank Advisory Board (2018–2023), and previously with the Children’s Hospital Foundation and KLRN. In total, Brandon has held more than 20 governance and advisory roles across multiple sectors.

Brandon earned both his B.S. in Management and M.S. in Sports Administration from Grambling State University, where he was a scholar-athlete and honors graduate. He has completed executive training at Harvard Business School’s Young American Leaders Program, the FBI Citizens Academy, and the Air War College’s National Security Forum.

Guided by his CliftonStrengths—Learner, Self-Assurance, Maximizer, Responsibility, and Intellection—Brandon is a confident, strategic decision-maker with a deep sense of ownership and a talent for elevating outcomes. His contributions have been recognized nationally with honors such as the UNCF’s Excellence in Education Award (2023), the Lincoln Leader Award (2024), and the Omega Psi Phi International Citizen of the Year Award (2015).

Brandon Logan is currently open to national and hybrid board roles, with particular interest in organizations focused on higher education, philanthropy, community banking, human capital strategy, and sports leadership.
