Angela Snary is an accomplished entrepreneur, business leader, and industrial executive with more than 30 years of professional experience spanning manufacturing, automotive, power generation, nuclear, defense, and other complex industrial environments. As the Founder and President of Avid Quality Group Inc., Angela has built her career around a commitment to precision, integrity, and continuous improvement. Angela founded Avid Quality Group Inc. in 2003 and has spent more than two decades developing the organization into a trusted provider of high-precision three-dimensional measurement and metrology services. Through her leadership, Avid has supported companies working on complex manufacturing, automotive, power generation, nuclear and aerospace projects with on-site high precision metrology solutions. In 2015, she had a clear vision of who they were, and guided her team and her company through a rebranding to Avid Measurement Solutions. Angela has overseen more than 1,500 projects across three countries and 15+ industries, giving her an unusually broad perspective on how organizations manage quality, technical complexity, customer expectations, risk, and operational performance. Her experience has taken her from the shop and plant floors to boardroom planning with senior executives, communicating effectively across organizational levels.
As a business owner, Angela’s leadership extends well beyond the technical requirements of her business. She has been responsible for establishing organizational strategies, developing people, strengthening systems, managing client and supplier relationships, supporting financial stability, and preparing the company to adapt to changing market conditions. She facilitates management reviews that examine trends, successes, risks, and opportunities, translating data into practical business priorities. She has also established key business indicators and reporting mechanisms that help leadership evaluate organizational performance and align day-to-day activities and objectives with the company’s broader mission, vision, and values.
Angela brings particular strength in systems development, project management, quality management, and continuous improvement. She spearheaded Avid Measurement Solutions certification to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and has developed internal business systems focused on measuring and analyzing critical areas of organizational performance. Her development of an integrated system of internal tools has saved her company thousands in software and annual maintenance fees. In addition, it has ensured organizational consistency and has automated much of the ‘paperwork’ that is associated with metrology firms. This work has included designing data-analysis tools, structuring technical documentation for compliancy, improving client and service workflows, automating quotations, standardizing reporting, and establishing procedures that strengthen safety, accuracy, traceability, and operational consistency. Angela earned an Executive MBA in Business Administration, Management and Operations from the Australian Institute of Business and previously completed a diploma in Process Operations at Lambton College. Her professional development has also included Dale Carnegie training, a multitude of industry specific certifications and association with Chartered Managers Canada. Through Avid Measurement Solutions, she has developed experience connected to automotive manufacturing, power generation, nuclear components, aerospace, defense, tooling, automation, printing, refinery, process validation, precision measurement, and large-scale industrial assemblies. The company’s work has included projects associated with organizations and applications across nuclear generator and steam generator certification, turbine retrofits, automotive production systems, aircraft components, battery-tray production, launch of new products, all manners of leveling and alignment and other precision-critical applications. Outside of business, Angela values an active and engaged life. She also has conversational familiarity with French sufficient for general understanding and communication.
