Sundip currently serves as the Head of Cloud Technology Risk Management at Wells Fargo, one of the world’s largest financial institutions. In this executive role, he leads the first line of defense for cloud services across the enterprise, overseeing technology risk, cyber defense, process controls, and regulatory compliance for hybrid infrastructure environments. His efforts have helped fortify cloud adoption strategies while maintaining operational soundness and regulatory alignment during a period of heightened scrutiny in the financial sector.
Under his leadership, Wells Fargo has successfully implemented robust governance programs and comprehensive frameworks to evaluate, sustain, and improve risk postures. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Sundip spent over 12 years at BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, where he held several leadership positions. As global Chief Operating Officer for the Core Systems Operations and Core Software Infrastructure divisions within the Aladdin Product Group, he managed a $200M budget and led globally distributed teams across the Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific. His work focused on ensuring operational resiliency, regulatory readiness, and service excellence in support of BlackRock’s mission-critical equities trading platform.
Sundip also served as Senior Technology Manager for BlackRock’s Client Technical Services group, where he played a vital role in deploying Aladdin’s proprietary risk management and trading systems to a global client base. He directed major infrastructure migration efforts, ensured seamless client onboarding, and coordinated incident management across global production windows. His ability to navigate client-facing challenges with clarity and precision earned him a reputation as a trusted leader in both internal and external technical operations.
Before his tenure at BlackRock, Sundip held various infrastructure leadership roles in organizations including Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, Acumen Sciences, and Cambridge Technology Partners. In these early roles, he specialized in enterprise platform architecture, messaging systems, virtualization technologies, and cross-functional IT integration. His hands-on engineering background uniquely informs his executive lens, enabling him to bridge the gap between strategy and execution.
Educated at Boston University, Sundip holds a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and International Relations.
