As Patient Service Area President for the South Chicagoland and Central Illinois Region of Advocate Aurora Health, Richard oversaw a $2.1 billion regional operation with more than 10,000 employees across five hospitals and extensive ambulatory services. His leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic stands as one of the defining chapters of his career. He successfully managed the region through some of Illinois’ highest case volumes, ensuring operational readiness, staff support, and continuity of care during unprecedented levels of strain. Prior to his leadership roles at Advocate, Richard built a strong consulting foundation at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, where he led national projects focused on operational improvement, medical group performance, revenue optimization, and strategic planning. In 2022, Richard became President and CEO of LocumsPro, a national physician locum tenens organization dedicated to supporting healthcare systems through physician staffing solutions.
