Paul Lux is a seasoned executive whose professional journey is anchored in one powerful belief: “Precision in chaos creates progress.” With more than three decades of distinguished service in forensic accounting, insurance claim resolution, litigation support, and economic damage evaluation, Paul has carved a niche as a trusted expert for insureds, insurers, and legal professionals navigating high-stakes financial matters. His trajectory from the frontlines of audit and consulting to the helm of his own advisory firm reflects a steadfast commitment to delivering strategic clarity in industries where ambiguity often reigns.

Paul’s story begins in the heart of Chicago, where he earned his degree in Accounting, Finance, and Business from Loyola University. Early in his career, he honed his technical foundations at two of the world’s most influential accounting firms—Arthur Andersen and Deloitte & Touche. At Arthur Andersen, Paul quickly demonstrated his analytical aptitude and collaborative nature, contributing to teams focused on insurance claims and litigation support. His tenure at Deloitte further deepened his expertise in complex claims preparation and financial analysis, establishing him as a rising talent in forensic advisory.

In 2004, Paul took a pivotal step forward by joining Navigant Consulting, where he would spend over 13 years building a reputation as a national thought leader in forensic insurance and commercial litigation. As Associate Director, he led multi-disciplinary teams and engaged directly with major insurers, corporate clients, and legal counsel to quantify business interruption losses, evaluate catastrophic claims, and provide expert testimony. His strategic insights and ability to distill complex data into actionable intelligence positioned him as a go-to resource in high-value disputes across numerous industries.

Paul’s leadership philosophy centers on service, precision, and accountability. During his years at Navigant and later at BDO, where he served as Director of Forensic Insurance & Recovery, he embraced the responsibility of mentoring younger professionals, advocating for best practices in forensic methodology, and championing client-centered solutions. At BDO, he expanded his influence further, guiding global insurance engagements and contributing to the development of firm-wide frameworks for subrogation, claim assessment, and litigation strategy.

In 2025, driven by a desire to provide personalized, high-impact advisory services, Paul launched Plux PLC. As the Owner and Principal Consultant, he continues to support insured parties with first-party property insurance claims and advise insurers on subrogation and recovery matters. Operating remotely from Eastern Iowa, he combines hands-on expertise with strategic foresight, allowing clients to navigate financial disruptions with confidence and clarity. His firm reflects not only his professional mastery but also his commitment to empowering others during their most challenging times.

Paul’s work transcends industry boundaries. Over the years, he has made significant contributions to sectors as diverse as hospitality, oil and gas, manufacturing, and healthcare. Yet, regardless of the setting, his approach remains consistent: understand the client’s reality, uncover the truth in the numbers, and deliver a path forward. This cross-industry adaptability is a hallmark of his career and underscores his belief that financial truth is both universal and powerful when wielded with integrity.

Beyond client work, Paul is an established thought leader in his field. He has published extensively in leading industry journals and is frequently invited to present at national conferences, where his ability to explain complex financial constructs in relatable terms has made him a respected voice among peers and clients alike. His role as an expert witness has further cemented his credibility, as courts and stakeholders alike have come to rely on his objectivity and command of the facts.

At the core of Paul’s leadership is a deep respect for the human dimension of his work. He recognizes that behind every claim or dispute lies a story of disruption—often unexpected and deeply personal. His empathetic nature and calm demeanor have made him a steady presence for clients in times of distress, while his intellectual rigor ensures that no stone goes unturned in pursuit of resolution. He is known not only for his financial acumen but also for his ability to listen, counsel, and lead with both heart and mind.

Paul’s influence continues to grow through his consulting practice and his commitment to mentorship. He remains passionate about cultivating the next generation of forensic advisors and continues to serve as a sounding board and advocate for young professionals entering the field. Through his work and example, he is helping to shape a more transparent, client-oriented, and ethical future in insurance and litigation consulting.
