His expertise spans across asset management, consulting, and institutional investing, where his visionary leadership continues to leave a significant impact.
Marc served as the Head of Distribution and Managing Director at PFM Asset Management LLC (a division of US Bank), based in Philadelphia, PA. In this role, he was promoted to lead the distribution efforts for the firm’s $35 billion OCIO (Outsourced Chief Investment Officer) business, which is ranked as the 18th largest Institutional OCIO firm according to Pensions & Investments. Under his leadership, he developed a strategic plan focused on consultant relations and targeted market segments, including government, nonprofit, corporate, and Taft-Hartley channels. Marc leads a team of 11 professionals, including relationship managers and business development officers, to implement a nationwide strategy that enhances business growth and strengthens PFM Asset Management’s position in the market. By establishing key partnerships with US Bank’s custody, private wealth management, and commercial bankers, he has further positioned PFM Asset Management to capture valuable new business opportunities in the OCIO space.
Prior to his current role, Marc served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director at PFM Asset Management, where he played a pivotal role in integrating three distinct OCIO businesses — PFM Asset Management, Highmark Capital Management, and US Bank Institutional Asset Management — into one cohesive operation. His leadership was instrumental in creating a unified vision that enabled PFM to streamline operations and expand its reach in the asset management industry.
Marc’s experience within PFM Asset Management also includes his promotion to Managing Director and Co-Leader of the firm’s OCIO and Consulting businesses. As a member of the Multi-Asset Class Investment Committee, Marc was deeply involved in strategic decision-making around investment and asset allocation for both the OCIO and Consulting practices, managing portfolios worth over $21 billion. His leadership in money manager research and asset allocation studies further solidified PFM’s reputation for providing innovative and comprehensive financial solutions to clients.
Before his tenure at PFM, Marc honed his expertise as a Senior Managing Consultant, where he was responsible for leading the firm’s money manager research efforts and sourcing new business opportunities. He also served as the lead domestic equity research analyst and managed relationships with over twenty institutional clients. His career also includes roles at PFPC (PNC Global Investment Servicing), CIGNA Corporation, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Coopers & Lybrand, where he developed a deep understanding of the financial services industry and its complexities.
