After a successful farming and FMCG early career, Lloyd spent 15 years with DuPont – Pioneer (now Corteva) in international supply chains and production, as well as sustainable agriculture and government affairs. Lloyd was the first CEO of the CGIAR Consortium, before founding his own sucessful consulting business. Lloyd also served as Senior Advisor for Agriculture and Food Investment in Africa with the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, working closely with both investors, businesses, and governments.
A sought-after thought leader and advisor, including for the World Bank and IFC, Lloyd has delivered compelling insights on multinational businesses, trade, farmer challenges, and sustainable business practices at global forums, including USAID and AfDB conferences and industry events. He has been actively involved in leading industry associations, including the Crop Science Society of America, International Seed Federation, and the African and American Seed Trade Associations, staying at the forefront of trends and innovations in global development.
