Josh’s career in financial services began in 1987. He has since gained extensive experience as an insurance and financial advisor. In 2004, he founded Kompass Financial Advisors, an independent insurance agency and Registered Investment Advisory firm committed to providing customized strategies for his clients.

As a trusted leader in the industry, Josh leverages his independence to offer unbiased, client-focused solutions. As a fiduciary, he is required to put his clients interests first, ensuring that each recommendation is crafted with precision and adaptability to meet evolving regulatory landscape.

His academic foundation in Agricultural Economics from the University of Nebraska, combined with industry credentials such as Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP^®) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), positions him as a knowledgeable and resourceful advisor. Beyond his professional endeavors, Josh is an avid cyclist and has held leadership roles with ChristianCycling.com, where he has served in many positions such as national board chair and treasurer.

A passionate Nebraska Cornhuskers fan, Josh enjoys sports, woodworking, reading, writing, and volunteering in his local community where he is currently clerk and treasurer of his local town. His deep connection to his roots is evident in his ongoing involvement with his family farm, where he finds balance and inspiration.
