Jeff Monassebian is an accomplished attorney with over forty years of specialized expertise in technology, intellectual property, and commercial law. Jeff’s extensive career includes more than a decade of senior management experience as both a principal of and general counsel to TCAM Systems Inc. and its sister company TCAM Systems (UK) Limited. TCAM rapidly grew from a start-up in 1979 to its acquisition by a NYSE-listed entity in 1994. Jeff advised TCAM through complex legal landscapes and facilitated its growth and success.
In 1996, Jeff founded Technology Practice Group LLC and continues as its managing attorney today., TPG is a boutique law firm that advises its Fortune 100 clients in connection with all forms of IP/IT acquisition, including bespoke development, SaaS/Cloud computing, data and structured financial and index licensing, outsourcing, social media, cyber security and AI transactions. Jeff brings his experience and a unique business perspective to the firm’s practice. TPG clients include Morgan Stanley (27 years), Paramount Global (18 years) and, most recently, Sumitomo Mitsui.
Jeff has been a prominent voice in the industry, with publications including A Survival Guide to Computer Contracts and The Handbook of Investment Technology. His activities extend to public speaking engagements, including his recent presentation on “Know Your Artificial Intelligence” at Quinnipiac University School of Law Alumni Association.
In addition to his professional achievements, Jeff contributes back to the community. He served as a trustee for the Iranian American Jewish Federation of NY, where he supported disaster and humanitarian relief efforts. Currently Jeff sits as a member on his local village Board of Zoning Appeals.
Jeff is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, where he earned his J.D. with honors in 1982. Jeff also holds a B.S. in Finance from St. John’s University. He is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma and Omicron Delta Epsilon honor societies.
