Bob’s academic foundation is robust, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering and Agricultural Business Management from the University of Delaware. He also pursued two years of engineering studies at the U.S. Naval Academy, where he developed a strong appreciation for diversity and collaborative learning.
Bob began his professional journey as the Owner of Thermal Consultants, where he designed and manufactured heat transfer products for various industries. His entrepreneurial success led to the sale of his firm to Alliance Industries, where he served as Vice President of Operations. In this role, he managed engineering and manufacturing initiatives, driving innovation and efficiency.
At Natural Selection Foods, Bob’s role as Director of Operations saw him implement groundbreaking technologies such as X-ray inspection and automated processing operations. His tenure at Ready Pac Produce Inc. as VP Operations and VP Engineering further solidified his reputation, where he improved procurement, processing, and shipping operations for fresh cut salads and vegetables.
Bob’s executive acumen was further demonstrated at Wild Rocket Foods / Fresh & Easy Markets, where he served as President of Operations. He enhanced gross margins, reduced operational variances, and initiated significant sales into Costco under the Kirkland Signature brand. As CEO at JacobsFarm/DelCabo, Bob steered the company in organic farming, packing, and marketing, emphasizing sustainability and market penetration.
At IFood Technology, Bob’s leadership as CEO was marked by the development of modified atmosphere packaging, extending the shelf life of fresh produce. Since May 2018, Bob has been the General Manager at VegFresh Farms LLC, where he continues to enhance food safety management systems and drive industry growth.
Bob is an active participant in professional groups such as FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY ASSURANCE and Blackmore Deal Flow For Private Equity. His extensive skill set includes project engineering, mechanical engineering, product development, food safety management, manufacturing, supply chain management, and procurement.
