Bob Kolowitz is a seasoned technology executive with over two decades of leadership experience in the field of information technology. As the Vice President of Information Technology at Summit Interconnect, Bob’s strategic vision and technical expertise are pivotal in shaping the company’s technological direction. Bob’s career at Summit Interconnect began as the Director of Information Technology, where he honed his skills in Santa Clara, CA. His leadership journey in IT started at the University of San Francisco, where he served as Director and Senior Program Manager of IT Infrastructure Services. During his tenure, he led a comprehensive three-year technology refresh program that significantly enhanced system security and reliability while achieving substantial operational cost reductions through astute contract management.
Prior to his role at Summit Interconnect, Bob was the Director of Global Information Technology Infrastructure at OCLARO. There, he played a crucial role in managing multiple mergers and acquisitions and executed a global implementation of Agile PLM, which streamlined operations post-merger. His initiatives ensured continuous manufacturing uptime and introduced robust IT architectures that facilitated efficient scaling of operations.
Earlier in his career, Bob was the Manager of Information Technology at Alien Technology Corp. He was instrumental in the company’s rapid growth, managing IT support for over 350 employees and overseeing the design and construction of multiple data centers. Bob’s educational background includes a Master’s degree in Information Systems from the University of San Francisco, a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from the University of Phoenix, and an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science from Masters Institute.
