Dr. Donoher concluded his academic career as Dean of the Hasan School of Business at Colorado State University Pueblo, where his tenure left a significant imprint. Under his leadership, the school successfully achieved AACSB reaccreditation, demonstrating his ability to align institutional processes with evolving global standards. He championed strategic planning frameworks, introduced a faculty-led Strategic Management Committee, and ensured that internal policies not only met accreditation metrics but also enhanced operational effectiveness. In his role as fiscal officer, he prioritized student success—expanding scholarships, funding academic centers, and securing critical advising roles to support retention and student well-being.

Dr. Donoher previously served as Department Chair at Georgia College & State University’s College of Business and Technology. He revitalized programs by expanding the HR curriculum with an eye toward SHRM alignment, activated an experiential sales program that quickly gained national recognition, and built both faculty and student advisory boards to ensure robust, multi-directional engagement. He brings to the classroom a uniquely multidisciplinary perspective informed by his JD from Washington University in St. Louis, a Ph.D. in Strategic Management from the University of Missouri, and a Bachelor’s in Finance from California Polytechnic State University. His ability to translate complex theory into practical insight is evident not only in his teaching, but also in his widely published research on corporate governance, institutional dynamics, bankruptcy decision-making, and ethical business conduct.

Dr. Donoher’s scholarly contributions have appeared in top-tier journals including the Journal of ManagementTransnational Corporations, and the Journal of Leadership Studies. His early research on the strategic determinants of bankruptcy and organizational distress remains influential, while his later work explores global CSR initiatives, leadership dynamics, and the misalignment of incentives in corporate disclosures. He also authored the book Corporate Bankruptcy: Fundamental Principles and Processes, blending academic depth with practical relevance.

Beyond academia, Dr. Donoher’s legal experience as an attorney at Snell & Wilmer in Phoenix, Arizona, fortified his understanding of commercial finance, secured transactions, and regulatory frameworks. This legal foundation has added credibility and depth to his work as a scholar and educator in areas like ethics, risk, and institutional change.

A highly active member of professional communities such as the Academy of Management, Strategic Management Society, and the Society for Business Ethics, Dr. Donoher remains engaged in advancing business scholarship and pedagogy.
