“Plan Your Work and Work Your Plan.”
Amy Snider, JD, is a seasoned insurance and Insurtech executive whose career reflects more than three decades of disciplined leadership, operational transformation, and unwavering commitment to ethical growth. Her professional philosophy—rooted in integrity, accountability, and purposeful innovation—has guided her through founder-led environments, private equity–adjacent organizations, and enterprise insurance ecosystems. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a rare ability to blend strategic oversight with real-world operational experience, positioning her as a trusted advisor to executives, agency principals, and technology leaders navigating the rapidly evolving insurance landscape.
Amy’s journey began with the entrepreneurial vigor of launching and scaling her own multi-million-dollar property and casualty agency, General Insurance Concepts, Inc. Over nearly 23 years, she cultivated deep industry knowledge by building the agency from the ground up, designing operating procedures, training and developing teams, and overseeing both the financial and operational sides of the business. This formative experience not only strengthened her expertise in commercial and personal lines but also established the leadership foundation that would define her future roles. Her ability to balance growth, compliance, customer relationships, and profitability positioned her as a leader capable of scaling organizations while maintaining high standards of service and execution.
Her transition into corporate insurance operations brought her into influential roles with organizations such as Florida Blue and later UnitedHealthcare, where she oversaw complex teams, regulatory functions, and member experience programs across multiple states. Amy became known for her talent in navigating legislative environments, validating compliance protocols, and developing operational frameworks that enhanced efficiency and quality. Whether managing a 150-person appeals and grievances team or leading multi-state regulatory adherence initiatives, she brought a principled approach to problem-solving—one that consistently delivered measurable improvements in performance, satisfaction, and operational rigor.
Amy’s move into the Insurtech space represented a natural evolution of her career, allowing her to blend traditional insurance expertise with next-generation technology. At Assurance IQ, a Prudential company, she played a pivotal role in launching and scaling a new P&C sales distribution channel. Her work in developing forecasting tools, workforce strategies, and performance dashboards provided executive leadership with critical insights to support growth-stage expansion. She became a key operational voice, translating metrics into meaningful strategies, guiding cross-functional alignment, and ensuring that emerging business models adhered to both regulatory expectations and organizational goals.
Her leadership continued to accelerate at Rem Tech, Inc., where she served as VP of Compliance & Agencies for an AI-driven insurance technology platform. In this role, Amy became the connective tissue between engineering, legal, compliance, and business development teams. She crafted the regulatory and privacy frameworks required to support enterprise-readiness while simultaneously advising founders on product-market fit and workflow design. Her work ensured that innovation did not outpace governance—a responsibility she embraced with clarity and conviction, grounded in her understanding that responsible AI adoption must be as meticulous as it is imaginative.
Most recently, as Head of Partner Success at COVU, Amy served as an executive advisor to 21 independent agencies within a high-growth Insurtech environment. She guided agency transformations, improved profitability, and helped principals navigate organizational change with confidence. Her analyses of renewal trends, margin performance, and book-of-business health informed strategic decisions at the highest levels of the company. She also strengthened relationships with agency leadership, providing a calm, experienced voice capable of driving alignment across Sales, Operations, Finance, and Compliance. Her transition to a POD-based model further demonstrated her ability to re-architect operations for scale while delivering consistency across diverse partner ecosystems.
Alongside her professional achievements, Amy’s leadership is grounded in a deep commitment to social justice, fairness, and community support. She views leadership as both a privilege and a responsibility—a platform through which equity, transparency, and ethical decision-making must be consistently modeled. Her service on church and pension boards reflects this dedication, as does her passion for mentoring, coaching, and strengthening the next generation of leaders in the insurance field. Her personal interests in fitness, family, volunteering, and community engagement further enrich the balanced, human-centered approach she brings to her work.
Amy’s extensive regulatory knowledge is supported by her Juris Doctor degree and multiple insurance licenses across P&C, Life, Health, and Adjuster certifications. This legal foundation enhances her board readiness, offering a governance-informed lens that strengthens her contributions to oversight, fiduciary responsibilities, and risk interpretation. Whether guiding early-stage founders, advising high-growth organizations, or evaluating strategic initiatives for mature companies, Amy consistently demonstrates the judgment and professionalism required of board-level leadership.
Today, Amy seeks board and advisory opportunities that allow her to apply her experience at scale, particularly within insurance carriers, MGAs, agency networks, PE-backed platforms, and AI-enabled Insurtech environments. She brings a balanced perspective—one shaped by decades of operational leadership and informed by a forward-looking understanding of technology, compliance, and market evolution. As she transitions into semi-retirement, her goal is to support organizations navigating complexity, transformation, and strategic inflection points, ensuring that growth is both sustainable and ethically grounded.
