Alexis C. Dishman is a mission-driven financial executive with nearly 25 years of experience in commercial lending, community development finance, and economic empowerment. Throughout her career, she has helped organizations—from startups to Fortune 100 companies—access capital, navigate complex financial structures, and build sustainable growth strategies.
Currently serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Lending Officer at the Community Reinvestment Fund, USA, Alexis oversees business development, centralized intake, lending operations, and stakeholder engagement. Her leadership is focused on building partnerships with community organizations, regulators, and mission-aligned stakeholders to expand access to capital and support economic development initiatives nationwide.
Previously, she was Chief Lending Officer at Michigan Women Forward, where she managed the organization’s loan portfolio and led its expansion across Michigan. She also held senior roles at IFF, one of the nation’s leading CDFIs, including Managing Director of Lending for Michigan and Ohio, where she launched new capital solutions and played a key role in nonprofit sector lending.
Earlier in her career, Alexis held commercial banking roles at Bank of America and Comerica Bank. Her foundation in credit analysis, loan structuring, and team leadership was shaped through these positions, including participation in Comerica’s Leadership Development Program.
Alexis currently serves on several boards including Jefferson East Inc., Community Unity Bank (Chair of the Loan Committee), and New Paradigm College Prep. She is also a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago’s Advisory Council. Her honors include Crain’s Detroit Business 40 Under 40, the Detroit Free Press Shining Light Award, and the Michigan Chronicle Women of Excellence.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Michigan State University, an MBA in Finance from Wayne State University, and an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from Harvard Kennedy School.
